AWPRx’s Move to the Cloud is a Success
Earlier this week, Salesforce.com, the enterprise cloud computing company, announced that AWPRx successfully deployed and used the Sales Cloud 2, Chatter and other custom apps from Force.com. AWPRx, a pharmacy management service provider, deployed Salesforce to run its business in the cloud, which saves it money and allows AWPRx employees to focus more on customers instead of maintenance or administration.
AWPRx serves over 95 percent of the nation’s pharmacies. The company needed to replace its existing complex solution so it chose Salesforce.com. Salesforce now allows AWPRx employees to collaborate and share information quickly and easily. Every employee is using the cloud computing applications from Salesforce.com. Also, AWPRx employees can collaborate through Salesforce Chatter.
AWPRx built many custom applicatoins on Force.com, Salesforce’s application platform. These applications include ones for finance, risk and compliance, human resources and client protocals. The company also used applications from Salesforce’s AppExchange 2, such as Jigsaw, Vertical Response and Jitterbit. AWPRx even replaced its corporate website and built one on Force.com so that their customers could login to portals.
The CEO of AWPRx, Jay Roy, commented. He said, “Salesforce CRM and the custom applications we’ve built with Force.com have helped us move our entire business to the cloud. With Chatter we are only at the beginning of what we see as endless possibilities to grow our business in what is a very competitive market.”
AWPRx has found much success with the deployment of Salesforce.com. The company will save over $100,000 annually. Also, the company now has a scalable and reliable system as opposed to its previous database. AWPRx can also build custom applications on Force.com at any time to address its specific business needs.
