Splendid’s splendid licensing arrangement, not so splendid ‘site

Those hard-working folks at TMCNet reported on Saturday (while listening to the Raveonettes’ “Whip It On,” no less) that splendidly-named SplendidCRM Software Inc. has announced a new licensing arrangement for its open-source CRM product called “Free-Runtime and Free-Hosting License.”

Amazing that a company like SplendidCRM couldn’t have created a punchier name for the plan…

Also amazing is the reason why this story is being reported from another blog: There is no information readily available at SplendidCRM.com until you unsuspectingly get into a myriad of pages trying to sell sell sell you the product. The SplendidCRM “blog” has one entry for 2007. Plus, SplendidCRM has little to report about itself as well, with a total of two press releases generated in all of 2006.

Amazing that a CRM hocker hasn’t been informed that a blog is one of the cheapest and most pleasant forms of maintaining customer relationships…
