Ukraine’s Kyivstar Expands Its Use of Amdocs OSS

New deployment provides mobile operator with a full picture of both its physical and logical infrastructure to better manage network resources

ST. LOUIS, March 2, 2011 — Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, today announced that Kyivstar has expanded its use of Amdocs OSS (operational support systems) to manage its physical assets.

By adding the Cable Manager product from the Amdocs Inventory solution to its existing Amdocs Inventory implementation, Kyivstar can now manage its physical (network cables and ducts) and logical assets (ports, circuits) in one consolidated inventory system. As a result, Kyivstar can support the critical operational processes of planning, assurance and fulfillment in a more integrated way. This deployment brings Kyivstar closer to its strategic goal of a consolidated OSS for greater efficiency when delivering new services to its more than 25 million subscribers.

“For such a strategic undertaking, it was important that Kyivstar selected a leading provider that could meet our demanding needs for today and the future,” said Sergey Klimov, deputy chief technical officer at Kyivstar. “Kyivstar is developing its OSS to enable us to effectively serve new and existing subscribers with new products and to help manage our upcoming consolidation processes within the company.”

The solution consolidates existing inventory systems to provide an enterprise-wide, accurate and comprehensive view of Kyivstar’s network resources. This reduces operational expenditure and increases efficiency through the automation of network-facing processes such as planning, and customer-facing processes such as assurance.

The solution is being delivered in conjunction with the local systems integrator Soft & Tronic Ukraine.
