LiteScape Technologies’ collaboration solutions selected

LiteScape Technologies, Inc. has announced their key strategic partnership with Bell Canada, in which the telecommunications company will sell LiteScape applications across North America. Bell Canada has selected LiteScape as a key partner in its overall strategy to market and deployment of IP solutions throughout its customer base. “The Stars have aligned!” proclaimed Cisco Canada voice business development manager Rod Scotland (really). Bringing LiteScape together with Bell Canada makes our position with customers even stronger … Bell Canada, among many very strong capabilities, has the coverage and expertise to provide seamless installation and integration services along with ‘Day 2 support.’ It’s a win-win-win situation for Cisco Systems Canada and our customers.”

LiteScape applications now offered by Bell Canada cover the areas of collaboration, including OnCast™ for multi-media broadcasts and collaboration across multiple domains; converged CRM products, which include LS ServicePoint solutions for vertical markets such as financial, government, health care, legal, retail, and hospitality; and identity management, which includes secure profile management Converged CRM. “I have worked extensively with Bell Canada in the past and appreciate the impact they will bring to the marketplace for us,” said Rod Hamlin, executive vice president of sales and marketing at LiteScape. “I’m very excited about this new partnership which will facilitate bringing additional value to their enterprise customers looking for VoIP solutions.” LiteScape’s applications are built on the company’s Multi-modal Application Platform (MAP), which enables real-time management of interactive sessions comprised of voice, data, and image streams that can be coordinated and simultaneously delivered to various IP phones and devices.

An enhanced version of MAP was announced in March at VoiceCon Spring. Meanwhile, the Bell Canada CRM story is featured today in a free webinar hosted by Tomorrow Line56. Entitled, “What if On-Demand CRM Integration Was Easy?" Bell Canada will have its experience delineated, an experience from which Bell representatives claim to have extended the value of their Salesforce.com CRM deployment via use of Above All Software. Bell Canada is taking a role in the webinar in order to address an issue they find key to the future of CRM. Both Bell Canada and Salesforce.com braintrusts acknowledge the CRM products, hosted or no, are becoming platforms and interfaces in addition to self-contained applications. Press material for the webinar event contained one odd quote from Salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff, who went on record as stating that his goal for his company’s product is nothing short of status as “an eBay of enterprise applications.”
