Broadsoft for O1 communications

VoIP application software provider BroadSoft, Inc., today announced the selection of its BroadSoft VoIP software by California-based O1 Communications, Inc. Beginning this month, O1 will leverage the BroadWorks platform to provide hosted PBX, business trunking, and IP Centrex services to small- and medium-sized enterprises and wholesalers.

O1 cited BroadSoft’s position as “the industry leader in VoIP application software” as a prime reason for the choice and described rapid expansion as a medium-term goal: “BroadWorks provides a foolproof VoIP,” he said, adding that “Our goal is to reach beyond our current Sacramento customer base and to expand throughout the West Coast.” Founded in 1998, O1 Communications, Inc. is a provider of telecommunication services and business telephone services to California companies.

BroadSoft’s IMS-compliant BroadWorks platform features a range of VoIP applications, including hosted PBX, IP Centrex, mobile PBX, business trunking, and residential broadband services. Among BroadSoft clientele are BellSouth, Korea Telecom, Singtel, Telefonica de Espana, Telstra, T-Systems, Verizon and XO Communications.
