That’s a big Net

Representatives from on-demand business software suite provider NetSuite Inc., have announced that business information providers UCG will be rolling out NetSuite to automate its front- and back-office operations.

(All sounds relatively normal in another tale of sale from the Chump, but wait!)

UCG plans to deploy more than 700 user seats of NetSuite, reportedly making this the largest on-demand ERP and CRM implementation in the world. Whoa.

UCG has already implemented the ERP component of NetSuite across its entire finance unit. It also introduced NetSuite CRM for part of its sales and customer support functions and plans to complete the implementation for the remaining business divisions over the coming months.

UCG is one of America’s leading providers of specialized business-to-business information; its portfolio comprises of several vertical companies. PR for the announcement made mention of UCG’s previous use of Microsoft Great Plains (a.k.a. Microsoft Dynamics) for financial operations and Goldmine for SFA and CRM.

The NetSuite professional services team worked in tandem with a UCG team to map out and execute a relevant ERP / CRM implementation plan. NetSuite was created to give small and medium-sized businesses the power of integrated enterprise applications like SAP "without the pain, cost and complexity."

Founded in 1977, UCG is one of America’s leading providers of specialized business-to-business information. UCG deals with decision makers in the healthcare, oil and energy, high technology, telecommunications, banking and finance and education industries. UCG is headquartered in Rockville, Md., and employs 700 employees.

NetSuite, Inc. is billed as the leader in on-demand business software suites and the fastest-growing software company in North America, according to the Deloitte Fast 500 study. NetSuite seeks to enable management of accounting, enterprise resource planning, CRM, and e-commerce.
