Shaw? Wunderman!

Representatives of Wunderman, a unit of WPP Group’s Young & Rubicam Brands, today announced their firm’s acquisition of Shaw Marketing Group, a customer relationship management shop. The autonomous division, to be rechristened Shaw Wunderman, will be led by agency founder and president Richard Shaw.

Diageo, producer of fine products bearing the labels of Johnnie Walker, Baileys, Smirnoff, Crown Royal and Guinness, is Shaw’s largest account, and Shaw also includes the New York Philharmonic. (Altogether, it makes for an most excellent night on the town in The Big Apple, eh?) The shop employs fifteen and boasted a revenue of approximately US $2 million in 2005.

Among Wunderman clientele are Citibank, Hewlett-Packard, Pfizer and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
