Salesforce on the bottom of the globe

Salesforce.com representatives have announced the opening of an Auckland, New Zealand, office later this year. This latest move continues the firm’s inroads into kiwi land, having signed contracts with sixty-five clients on the islands. Notable among the clientele are Fairfax and Vodafone. Wellington-based IT services firm Synergy has been appointed as the first salesforce.com systems integration partner in New Zealand.

Synergy will be specializing in larger salesforce.com customers in integration of the CRM application with in-house software. In connection with the announcement, salesforce.com PR indicates that the new office hopes to further branch out of the CRM market to create on-demand software applications that use CRM technology. No word has been given on the sort of prices New Zealanders can expect to pay for the services, but stateside salesforce.com data centers charge between US $17 and $165 per user; no great deviance from this rate is expected in the southern hemisphere.
