The Reynolds and Reynolds Company, a provider of software and services to automotive retailers, has announced an agreement with Xtime. Under terms of the agreement, Xtime’s flagship software product ServiceCRM will access data in the Reynolds ERA dealership management system through a secure interface.

Xtime’s ServiceCRM software combines consumer web scheduling, service BDC automation, advanced shop control and service marketing. The flow of information between ServiceCRM and ERA is hoped “to create a single, integrated, multifunctional service management tool.”

The Reynolds “Certified Interface” program allows non-Reynolds software application providers access to a dealer’s DMS data using standard data interfaces.

Reynolds and Reynolds merged with Universal Computer Systems merged in October 2006. Reynolds flagship products are ERA and POWER, along with other applications and documents for dealership operations. The company employs 6,500 associates, is headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, and has major operations in Houston and College Station, Texas.

Xtime is a provider of CRM solutions for automotive service operations, and today claims some 700 dealership clients and over 1,000,000 appointments booked on Xtime’s ServiceCRM. Xtime is a privately-held firm with investors including Draper Fisher Jurvetson, RPM Ventures, and Innovacom. Xtime is based in San Mateo, Calif.
