Objects in the SAND

SAND Technology, Inc., provider of intelligent enterprise information management software, announced that it has joined the Business Objects Technology Partner Program. Under terms of the agreement, SAND and Business Objects will collaborate on sales and marketing initiatives.

(Plus, they’ll get more reportage on CRMchump.org, because you gotta love the name “Business Objects.” Classic!)

The two firms have reportedly worked together to deliver business intelligence product to seven customers in multiple industries. In such solutions, SAND/DNA products are typically combined with the business intelligence and enterprise information management software in BusinessObjects XI Release 2.

Business Objects is a business intelligence software specialist claiming more than 39,000 customers worldwide and over 80 percent of the Fortune 500. Business Objects has dual headquarters in San Jose, Calif., and Paris, France.

SAND is a provider of intelligent information management software. The SAND/DNA product suite promises to scale “to help any size enterprise cope with exploding data requirements, now and into the future.”

(Exploding data? Into the future? DNA product? This is some seriously sci-fi stuff. Contact Captain Picard. I want him here immediately.)

SAND/DNA software includes SAP-certified information management; CRM analytics; and specialized applications for government, healthcare, financial services, telecommunications, retail and transportation industries.
