Mobile: New iPhone Application Boosts Mobile Productivity

The new Sugar Mobile for iPhone application complements the existing mobile capabilities in Sugar, and enables users of Sugar 6 to access and interface with their CRM system as a native iPhone application. The Sugar Mobile for iPhone application offers strong customization capabilities, allowing users to create a highly specialized mobile CRM experience on their iPhone.

“Sugar Mobile on the iPhone has been a great addition to our SugarCRM deployment,” said Lynne Branche Brown, vice president of operations at SkyRiver Technology Solutions, a company dedicated to the development and deployment of efficient, economical cataloging services for libraries. “In addition to the great look and feel, I now have immediate access to all of my important contacts in Sugar anywhere I go, without the need to synchronize with Outlook or any other system

Sugar Mobile for iPhone is available immediately for all Sugar Professional and Enterprise Edition customers. Sugar Mobile for iPhone can be downloaded today from the Apple Appstore. Free trials of Sugar Mobile for iPhone can be accessed either directly from the iPhone application, or by visiting: www.sugarcrm.com/freetrial.

Global: Increased Internationalization Supports Global Demand

In addition to the more than 80 community supported language packs available today, the latest edition of Sugar 6 integrates 13 languages fully supported by SugarCRM, a result of increased demand for SugarCRM’s commercial solutions around the world. The new fully certified language packs also offer localized currency capabilities. New certified language packs include support for the following languages:

BulgarianChineseDanishDutchFrenchGermanHungarianItalianJapanesePortugueseRomanianRussianSpanish

Users can now evaluate SugarCRM in all 13 languages and local currencies without needing to download and install language packs. Sign up for a free seven-day trial here, and simply select your preferred language and currency.

Social: Next-Generation Tools Extend the Sugar Platform

SugarCRM has extended the market-leading social CRM capabilities of Sugar 6 with new and enhanced social management tools. A new Twitter Connector enables users of Sugar 6 to quickly monitor the Twitter stream of any contact or company from within their Sugar installation. This complements the existing Cloud Connectors and other social collaboration and information sharing capabilities within the Sugar system. Unlike other tools offering solely internal collaboration, Sugar Cloud Connectors and social feeds enable the sharing of any type of external data, including video, social networking information, or any records from the CRM system. Also, users can set filters or automated alerts to keep up to date on their most pressing tasks, or abreast of any changes to contact, lead, opportunity or account status.

The SugarCRM partner ecosystem also adds to the social features in Sugar 6. For example, a new integration with Qontext Inc. enables users to collaborate with associates, partners and customers in any SugarCRM object (e.g., Account, Opportunity, Lead, Contact) via a single platform, thus eliminating “social silos.” Qontext was named the SugarExchange product of the month for October 2010.

“We’re excited about the natural fit between SugarCRM and Qontext where Qontext can enable and capture internal cross-functional conversations around just about any data right within SugarCRM,” said Samir Ghosh, vice president of business development and strategy at Qontext. “And even employees outside of CRM can be easily engaged to help close business and service customers. Rather than just chattering around sales opportunities, SugarCRM and Qontext adds sweet context for better cross-functional team selling and information recall.”

SugarCRM has also added to the email management and communications capabilities of Sugar in the latest release of Sugar 6. Sugar 6 now supports integration with Microsoft Outlook 2010, as well as stronger support for all IMAP email protocol offerings such as Gmail from within the Sugar email module. Finally, SugarCRM now offers support for the Google Chrome browser, offering even more choice on how and where users access Sugar 6.

“The latest additions to Sugar 6 complement our growing global user base, and our commitment to offer a great CRM user experience any time, anywhere,” said SugarCRM Chief Executive Officer Larry Augustin. “Our flexible solutions allow users to be more productive and connect more closely with their customers through new simple-to-use mobile and social tools.”
