Mobile World Congress 2011: Amdocs Showcases Solutions to do More in the Connected World

Amdocs CEO Eli Gelman and Telstra CEO David Thodey jointly present opening keynote on how to provide value and simplicity for the consumer in an always-on connected world

ST. LOUIS (February 01, 2011) – At Mobile World Congress 2011, Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, will present and showcase solutions that help service providers do more in the connected world.

Amdocs executives and customers will be speaking on the first morning of MWC 2011 in Hall 5, Room 5, at the Business Services Symposium Keynote – Transformation:

  • Eli Gelman, chief executive officer of Amdocs Management Limited and David Thodey, chief executive officer of Telstra, will open the symposium’s proceedings, discussing Telstra’s mission to provide value and simplicity for the consumer in an always-on connected world and how Amdocs is enabling Telstra to achieve this vision.
  • Dave Dobbin, president and chief executive officer of Mobilicity, a new provider of unlimited, 3.5G mobile pay-in-advance services in Canada, will join the panel discussion on Moving the Customer to the Center of Transformation Programs, outlining how Amdocs’ managed services allows Mobilicity to focus on growing their market share.

At its booth in Hall 8, Booth B101, Amdocs will showcase solutions that enable service providers to:

  • Do more with smarter networks: The exponential growth in data consumption is leading to network congestion. At the same time, service providers are not realizing the full revenue potential from data services. Amdocs solutions enable service providers to manage the capacity crunch efficiently and maximize data revenue by allowing service providers to create advanced pricing models for data services.
  • Do more with multi-dimensional convergence: In today’s connected world, the boundaries between services, channels and devices are blurring. However many service providers struggle with separate and disconnected systems which make provisioning the converged experience that customers expect very complex. Amdocs solutions include a single real-time rating and charging system for both prepaid and postpaid subscribers across any network or service and enable service providers to optimize and consolidate back-office operations.
  • Do more to enable the anywhere customer experience: Customers are now using multiple channels when shopping but a lack of product and price plan consistency between the channels, as well as complex cross-channel processes are common sources of customer frustration. Amdocs solutions provide a consistent cross channel sales and service experience and also enable service providers to rapidly deploy a more compelling mobile portal to capitalize on mobile content and advertising, personalizing the user experience down to the individual.
  • Do more to optimize your operations: In a January 2010 Amdocs survey conducted with Frost & Sullivan, two-thirds of service providers interviewed said that outsourcing part of their operations will be critical to succeeding in the connected world. Amdocs Global Strategic Sourcing solutions enable service providers to leverage managed services to lower costs, improve operational service levels, launch new operations, and implement transformation and modernization projects.
