Effortel Selects Amdocs Compact Convergence to Support the Launch of Low-Cost MVNO in Taiwan

Amdocs enables Effortel to support real-time charging and service delivery for multiple MVNOs from one central location

ST. LOUIS and BRUSSELS, BELGIUM (February 10, 2009) –

Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, and Effortel SA, a mobile virtual network enabler (MVNE), today announced that Effortel has deployed Amdocs to support a new mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) offering in Taiwan. Effortel is working with one of the world’s largest retailers to launch a new mobile phone service in Taiwan.

The Taiwan deployment expands Amdocs’ relationship with Effortel and further extends Effortel’s ability to support multiple MVNOs on a single centralized Amdocs Compact Convergence platform. Amdocs Compact Convergence is a network-connected, integrated suite that includes convergent real-time charging, service delivery, customer care, and self-care for launching cost-effective, mobile services, including MVNE/Os.

“The new MVNO site in Taiwan is a compelling example of how Amdocs Compact Convergence allows us to extend and adapt our operations easily, quickly and cost effectively to support additional MVNOs and subscribers in any market, regardless of their location and localization requirements–and all using a single platform,” said Liudvikas Andriulis, chief marketing officer of Effortel.

Effortel has been able to extend the platform it already owns to support multiple MVNO sites – all from one multi-tenant hosted location: Effortel’s Belgian headquarters. Using Amdocs Compact Convergence, Effortel can support the roll-out of new operations and services, and provide its customers with the ability to rate and charge for them in real time, while personalizing customer-care and self-care web screens to support different brands, languages, currencies and customer logic. As a result, each MVNO maintains its own separate identity, brand, currency, and customer-care definitions with security and reliability.
