Amdocs Helps Build Verizon Developer Community

Amdocs’ Products Deliver Digital Content Settlement and Support for Mobile Application Developers

SAN DIEGO, BASKING RIDGE, N.J., and ST. LOUIS (October 06, 2009) –

From CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2009®, Verizon Wireless said today it is working with Amdocs Interactive, a division of Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, to help build and grow the recently launched Verizon Developer Community (VDC). The VDC is the place for mobile developers to learn about all of Verizon’s applications programs, to submit applications for the soon-to-be launched V CAST Apps storefront, and to interact with Verizon experts and others in the mobile applications community.

Verizon Wireless uses digital commerce, settlement and reporting products from the Amdocs CES product portfolio. Amdocs products enable developers to monitor and measure revenues and usage information relating to their applications. VDC developers can quickly access relevant and up-to-date information via an intuitive, customizable online dashboard. Developers gain real-time visibility into subscriber purchasing behavior to measure sales effectiveness, spot trends and identify potential new business opportunities.

In addition, Amdocs will manage the financial settlements between Verizon and VDC members to ensure that developers receive timely and accurate payment for application sales. A reliable and rapid settlement cycle is important to developers because it improves their cash flow, making the VDC an attractive place for developers to do business.

“Serving the needs of both Verizon Wireless and its growing developer community, Amdocs ensures that developers receive their share of application sales and that accurate business data is accessible to all parties, helping measure business performance and drive new opportunities,” said Seth Nesbitt, vice president of product marketing for Amdocs. “Verizon Wireless and Amdocs are long time partners who are committed to delivering technology that fosters an open, collaborative and commercially viable environment for developers.”

About the VDC
The Verizon Developer Community was launched to foster innovation in the mobile application space. Developers who have created apps for platforms such as Java, BREW, Android, Windows Mobile and others are encouraged to join the VDC and to submit their concepts and applications for V CAST Apps.

The developer portal now offers simple, click-through agreements so developers can quickly and easily start the path to market for their applications.

The VDC provides a streamlined testing and certification process for applications, with the goal of having applications approved within 14 days of submission, and gives developers the opportunity to set their own prices for applications, among other things. News and updates about the Verizon Developer Community will be posted on Twitter at www.twitter.com/VDCConference.
