New On-Demand CRM Tools from NetSuite

No fewer than five business products have hit the market out of NetSuite, quickly earning the company a solid reputation in the on-demand software provider market.

The NetSuite marketing strategy focuses on the smaller business market and seeks to market Microsoft-, Salesforce.com-, and SAP-like tools to companies who find the larger systems out of financial reach.

The new addition to extant NetSuite products such as AJAX Everywhere, NetSuite Wholesale/Distribution Edition, NetSuite Services Company Edition and SuiteScript is their Version 11 platform. Together with periphery companion programs, smaller businesses are promised access to account, customer service, marketing, sales and warehouse applications. NetSuite CEO Zach Nelson sees a prosperous future in SaaS: “When mid-sized companies look at replacing existing systems, they will choose the SaaS solution over a Stone Age packaged application every time.”

In press material, Nelson went on to cite statistics that are no doubt the pride of the company, the most dramatic of which was NetSuite’s 4000% compound-rate increase. Microsoft Great Plains, he claimed, actually shrank in fiscal year 2005. And expansion of the NetSuite line will only continue; NetSuite CEO Zach Nelson has said that “Most people believe SaaS is a CRM-only phenomenon, and while NetSuite’s CRM deployments have been widely reported, the truth is that almost all applications will be delivered as a service.”
