KNOVA subsumed by M2M

M2M Holdings Inc., today announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire KNOVA Software Inc., a provider of intelligent customer experience applications in an all-cash transaction worth approximately $47 million. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2007.

And KNOVA, says M2M PR, will be assimilated. The M2M Holdings integration model “ensures that each acquired product line maintains its brand identity and is enhanced, maintained, supported and sold by dedicated sales, product management, development, customer support, and professional services teams.” M2M Holdings CEO Jeff Tognoni promised that Onyx Service-Oriented Architecture can be integrated with KNOVA’s existing application programming interfaces for customer relationship management using web services “in a short period of time.”

Orlando Bravo, managing partner for TCEP, positioned the acquisition as a key strategic milestone for M2M Holdings. “KNOVA is the ideal company to join the M2M Holdings family of companies following our recent entry into the CRM market. With KNOVA, M2M Holdings gains a strengthened overall customer management offering, a broadened worldwide sales and services presence, and greater coverage across numerous industry segments.”

M2M Holdings is a privately-held holding company jointly owned by Battery Ventures VI L.P. and Thoma Cressey Equity Partners. Primary assets of M2M Holdings are CRM solutions provider Onyx Software Corporation and enterprise resource planning software and services company Made2Manage Systems Inc. M2M Holdings claims a customer base of over 4,300 worldwide in industries including manufacturing, distribution, financial services, health care, contact center, high-tech, and local government.
