GTE Federal Credit Union now Open

Open Solutions Inc. happily announced some success this week, with the Tampa, Fla.-based GTE Federal Credit Union’s successful implementation of Open’s enterprise-wide data processing platform, The Complete Credit Union Solution. (Fantastic name. Really generic. Retro almost.)

Built on a single, centralized relational database, The Complete Credit Union Solution’s open architecture and member-centric platform are designed to assist credit unions in streamlining front and back office applications and improving member service.

It was announced as well that GTE FCU had implemented “complementary” software, which makes one wonder how complete The Complete Solution is. Implemented were CRM/business intelligence program cView; e-Commerce Banker Cash Management; ProfitVision; Channel Management Center; the voice response Interaction Management Center; and imaging.

GTE Federal Credit Union is comprised of more than 1,400 select employee groups and averages approximately 3,500 new members every month. GTE FCU boasts over $2 billion in assets, 39 branches and approximately 250,000 members, and were reportedly replacing a 23-year-old system when switching to Open.

Open Solutions Inc. offers a fully featured strategic product platform that integrates core data processing applications built on a single centralized Oracle relational database, with internet banking, cash management, CRM/business intelligence, financial accounting tools, imaging, digital documents, Check 21, interactive voice response, network services, web hosting and design, and payment and loan origination solutions.
