Unstructured data such as emails, customer records, faxes, forms, etc offer valuable information but in an unstructured form, it is of little use.

According to a survey by Forrester Research, 50% of SMBs interviewed showed interest in content management software that would help them to catalog their data in a digitized format. For IBM, the target customers of this product include companies that still rely heavily on paper-based communication.

The DB2 Content Manager Standard Edition v8.3 for iSeries has a graphical workflow builder that facilitates document creation, approval, and archiving. Web services support and XML schema mapping utilities are other features of this application. The software price starts at $ 6,900.
