Cimnet certified

Cimnet Systems Pvt. Limited, an offshore development center of Cimnet Systems, Inc. and supplier of enterprise resource planning software and services for the printed circuit board industry, has announced its ISO 9001:2000 certification. The firm just attained the global quality standards set forth for software companies by the ISO.

To achieve said certification, the Cimnet Systems staff underwent a complicated certification process, including an audit. The Cimnet product development team managed to successfully create detailed documentation for more than 40 business processes and procedures, including addressing customization requests, incorporating product enhancements, fixing product issues, and testing for quality.

In making the announcement, Cimnet Systems PR cited its client Viasystems Group, Inc., a large-scale PCB manufacturer in Asia, as encouraging the certificate attainment. Viasystems holds multiple quality certifications including several ISO statuses and Six Sigma. Viasystems thought ISO certification important due to the need to support the company’s mission-critical deployment of Paradigm, Cimnet’s core ERP package, in its Viasystems’ Chinese plants. As Robert Kuo, Viasystems director of IT for the Asia Pacific region put it, “We believe process quality leads to product quality.”
