Bridie new bride for NCR HR

NCR Corporation started the week with happy news for Bridie Fanning: She has been named senior vice president of company HR. The hiring will become effective September 5, and Fanning will report to NCR president / chief executive officer Bill Nuti. Fanning comes to NCR from GE, where she currently serves as vice president of HR for GE Retail Consumer Finance, a consumer credit services provider.

Fanning replaces Chris Wallace, who was moved up to the senior vice president post of NCR’s Worldwide Customer Services Division earlier this year. Fanning joined GE in 1995, rising through the company’s human resources positions, including planning and implementing comprehensive business integration plans in Central and Eastern Europe.

She was named director of Human Resources for GE Capital Services in the Czech Republic in 1998 and appointed to lead GE Capital’s HR excellence global initiative in 2000. Fanning holds diplomas in management studies from Kingston University and (what else?) human resource management from the University of Salford.
