PacificNet and the Asian Pacific

PacificNet Inc., a CRM and telemarketing services, call center, Ecommerce and value-added services provider in China, announced today that the Hunan Branch of China Telecom has selected the PacificNet Epro subsidiary to provide CRM consulting and call center training services. Under the agreement, PacificNet Epro is contracted to enhance the CRM service level and telemarketing management capability of the Hunan Telecom customer service center.

This consulting project consists of development of an outsourcing telemarketing program; call center workflow design; business management; critical success factors on customer affinity; five steps of customer service and telemarketing; how to design an effective telemarketing script; and customer service agent role-playing sessions. Upon announcing the decision, China Telecom Hunan marketing department channel manager Lin He, Channel Manager of the Marketing Department of China Telecom implied that work with PacificNet Epro on long-term CRM might be in the cards.

PacificNet chairman / CEO Tony Tong, Chairman and CEO of PacificNet, mentioned that his company’s increasing presence in China is all due to the “evolving and highly competitive nature of the Chinese consumer market.” Tong says he and his company believe that “the CRM contact center has emerged as the new competitive advantage for the market leaders in China.”

China Telecom is the largest fixed service telecommunications provider in China, including data, internet, and the XiaoLingTong PAS wireless system. China Telecom provides telecommunications services to 20 municipalities, provinces and autonomous regions in China and boasts a subscriber base of over 200 million.
