Sage SalesLogix Cloud announced at Sage Insights conference in Denver

Denver , CO (May 18, 2010) – Sage North America, which provides business management software and services to more than three million small and midsized businesses in Canada and the United States, today announced it is accepting orders for its new Sage SalesLogix Cloud CRM deployment offering built upon the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud(TM) (EC2(TM)) infrastructure. Sage SalesLogix Cloud will be available to new North American customers in June for $65 per named user per month. Current on-premises Sage SalesLogix customers who wish to migrate to the cloud can do so for $35 per named user per month. Multi-user and multi-year discounts are also available. Sage will expand its CRM cloud solution to other regions worldwide during the second half of 2010.

Sage SalesLogix Cloud helps businesses:

Implement CRM in a format that best addresses IT resource and budget constraints;

Retain ownership of all their CRM data and processes;

Choose when to upgrade to the latest version of Sage SalesLogix;

Customize CRM for their own unique sales, marketing and support processes; and

Integrate data and processes from the web and additional applications with CRM using the Sage REST protocol and other open standards.

Leading Cloud IT and SaaS research firm Saugatuck Technology, which has surveyed nearly 7,000 SaaS and Cloud users since 2003, indicates that between one-third and one-half of all small and midsized enterprises worldwide will use Cloud-based solutions for core business applications by year-end 2012. “Businesses see tremendous opportunity and benefits in using Cloud-based, SaaS applications for even the most critical applications,” according to Saugatuck SVP and head of research Bruce Guptill. “They can reduce capital, operating and IT costs, simplify software management, and improve how they manage their business, all at the same time.”

More than 50 Sage CRM Solutions business partners and value added resellers have expanded their practices to include Sage SalesLogix Cloud during customer pilot phases.

Additionally, independent software vendors are certifying their applications to support Sage in the cloud including Vineyardsoft Corporation’s KnowledgeSync alerts and workflow solution which will be available with Sage SalesLogix Cloud in June.

Simplex Inc., a designer of electrical test and fuel supply systems and participant in the Sage SalesLogix Cloud pilot program, is working with Sage business partner Customer FX to move from Salesforce.com. “We find Sage SalesLogix provides easier to use functionality for a better price,” explained Marc DeBrey, Simplex vice president of sales. “We’re looking forward to integrating business analytics, mobile CRM and Sage MAS ERP with the aid of Customer FX’s expertise.”
