Sage Announces Sage ERP X3 Version 6.2 With New Enhancements and Functionality

– Focus on Quality With Over 320 Improvements to Version 6.1 and ERP Modernization

Sage ( (LON:SGE.L), a leading global supplier of business management software, has announced Sage ERP X3 v6.2 with over 320 enhancements to v6.1, including key updates to the SAFE X3 platform and financials, manufacturing and distribution modules. In addition with v6.2, Sage Enterprise Webtop(TM) is made available as a connected service, Sage Search is an integral part of SAFE X3, and EDM (electronic document management) is provided as an extension. Standard Edition, a version of Sage ERP X3 designed for domestic, independent companies or group subsidiaries, is made available on v6.2 in North America and Europe and Sage is also announcing that Sage SalesLogix ( CRM solution and Sage ERP X3 have been integrated using SDATA(TM), the Sage Group standard protocol.

Sage Enterprise Webtop(TM) is a component of Sage’s SAFE X3 platform that allows users to connect to Sage ERP X3 through personalized dashboards and widgets, leveraging the Netvibes publishing platform. It enables all users to directly participate in key business processes via a secure access to Sage ERP X3 data and workflows from any mobile device, as well as access to public, business or personal information (such as RSS feeds, Social Media, Videos and more) via a personalized dashboard. It opens and decentralizes access to Sage ERP X3 not only to enterprise users, but also to all business stakeholders as business partners, suppliers and customers, for greater flexibility and collaboration. Sage Enterprise Webtop(TM) provides Dashboard Intelligence ( capabilities to the extended enterprise.

Additional functionalities now available in Sage ERP X3 v6.2 are: Sage Search, an innovative tool that facilitates research in any field of Sage ERP X3 via an easy-to-use search box; EDM which indexes and archives electronic documents and content, accessed directly from the ERP; and the inclusion of Standard Edition, mono legislation designed for local companies with now available in the US, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany and Switzerland.

Sage ERP X3 Standard Edition is designed for domestic, independent companies or group subsidiaries with limited IT resources, but which still need an ERP system that is simple to implement, rapid to deploy and with a broad functional scope. The solution keeps carbon accounting in real time in order to support measurement and reporting on a company’s carbon footprint and actions taken to reduce emissions.

*SDATA is specifically designed as a business application protocol and establishes both a consistent integration interface for Sage applications as well as a pattern for custom extensions that are designed for application integration. SDATA is a REST based protocol that provides a lightweight, internet friendly and high performance method of sharing data.
