Parature CEO Authors Chapter in “Inside the Minds: Software Leadership Strategies”

McLean, VA (May 23, 2005) – Parature, a leading provider of award winning, on demand customer support software, announced today that Duke Chung, CEO of Parature, has been selected as a contributing author for a chapter to “Inside the Minds: Software Leadership Strategies: CRM, Integration, ERP, & Storage Solutions CEOs Offer Best Practices & Keys to Success in the Software Industry” by Aspatore Books. In the chapter entitled “Providing a Web-based Solution”, Mr. Chung shares his vision for how the Internet will change the way companies support their end users.

Featuring CEOs representing some of the nation’s leading software companies, this book provides targeted, specific advice from the varied perspectives of nine seasoned professionals. As they reveal the secrets to effective management, harnessing technology, and what it takes to become a leader in the field, these authorities offer practical and adaptable strategies for excellence.

“In my chapter I discuss how companies will really begin to face some challenges in the coming years if they have traditionally provided software as an installed client-server application. In not adopting a strategy for enabling their software to be Web accessible, they will face some shortcomings in the years to come,” said Chung.

Mr. Chung, co-founded Parature in 2000, with a vision to provide superior customer support solutions on demand. Throughout his career, Duke has had the insight to recognize the true benefits of providing a service over the Internet. Prior to Parature, Duke co-founded Limespot, a company focused on providing students vital campus information over the Internet. While at Limespot, Duke saw first hand the benefits of delivering an application over the Internet, as apposed to delivering installed software, due to the reduction in infrastructure cost and human requirements. The realization of strategies in which the Internet could improve the way business is done became the foundation for how Parature would be built. Today, Parature serves over 2,500,000 users at 250+ organizations worldwide, including industry leaders such as Hewlett Packard, Office Depot and Florida State University.

Mr. Chung is recognized as one of the top up and coming entrepreneurs in the Northern Virginia region. In 2002, Washington Techway magazine named Duke as one of the area’s top under-30 technology executives. Mr. Chung was also selected to the 2002 MindShare Class, an exclusive, by invitation only program for CEOs of the most promising, high tech, start-up companies in the Greater Washington Metropolitan region.
