ExactTarget, a specialist in on-demand email software for email marketing (that’s “permission-based email marketing,” company PR reassures) unveiled its integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM at Convergence 2007 this week.

ExactTarget for Microsoft CRM seeks to make customer data actionable and enable marketers to create, deliver and track email campaigns. At the heart of the ExactTarget Software-as-a-Service application is Microsoft SQL Server.

ExactTarget product is today used by a clientele of some 5,500 organizations worldwide, including Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, The Home Depot, Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, Delta Faucet, CareerBuilder.com and Encyclopaedia Britannica. In 2006, the company made the Inc. 500 and the Deloitte Fast 500.

Privately owned and headquartered in Indianapolis, Ind., the company has more than 31 offices in North America, Europe and Australia.
