I couldn't agree with you more. I've personally always been a big fan of smaller CRM providers and industry-specific solutions. I had to help implement Salesforce for one company that I worked with, But as a marketing and channel sales "gun-for-hire", I'm normally at the mercy of the companies I'm temporarily with.

THAT'S what the big names do, their sales teams drain the customer with unnecessary none business related "cool" apps that you actually cannot work without because they hold the intercommunication in a client's interface then charge you heavily for each single small piece, those guys didn't become tycoons easily my friend. I recommend you to search for another system but before all consider how much it would cost to transfer your data from salesforce.com... have a great day!

Personally, I've never been sold on the Salesforce hype. After paying for all of the pieces of the puzzle to get my system to work, I found that I was spending way more cash for the system than I wanted.

well the review is really good in structure and the way it is written but i just don't get it; why does everyone concentrate on such big names? it's like everyone is working unwillingly for salesforce.com although there are many good and lower priced crm vendors in the Cloud that actually do better job with many customers and they are not well recognized as salesforce.com just because they are smaller in size or private companies. RightNow, Netsuite.com and Salesboom.com are some of those companies that are worth mentioning and being reviewed, everybody knows salesforce and what it could do but did anyone try to unveil the potentials of such long lasting names in the CRM business.
