Salesforce.com to enhance CRM applications

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions from Salesforce.com is set to be powered by UltraDNS Directory Services Platform and backed by its Service Level Agreement. By selecting UltraDNS, Salesforce.com expects to improve network security, performance and reliability.

Salesforce.com made its name as an innovator in the CRM software in its role as a service (SaaS) market. The SaaS industry provides a means by which business applications are accessed and used by customers using the Internet. FDC, a market research group, reports that by 2009 SaaS markets will net as much as US$10.7 billion.

Christopher Amen-Kroeger, Vice President of Service Delivery at Salesforce.com, says that in keeping with the critical nature of services offered by Salesforce.com reliability is key. Amen-Kroeger also said that Salesforce.com selected DNS because its managed DNS service is unmatched in security and performance.
