Apresta, specialists in providing wireless access to enterprise data, today announced support for the Motorola Q, a smart phone that runs handheld applications on Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system. With Apresta, Motorola Q users should now achieve access to data from any back-end enterprise database system, including CRM, ERP, and financials.

Apresta is designed to give users real-time access to enterprise data formatted specifically for handheld devices, such as the Motorola Q, BlackBerry, or Treo. The Apresta data delivery model is based on the iTunes method of music delivery. In Apresta, there is theoretically no need to download an application, instead Apresta delivers only the data you want. Apresta Studio promises a simple interface to create custom reports for display on handheld devices.

The results are customized wireless reports and data entry systems that can monitor sales activity, check inventory, place orders, and more. Apresta press material states that Apresta Studio is compatible with any device that runs the Microsoft Mobile Windows operating system, including the Pocket PC for Compaq, Dell, Hewlett Packard, the Research in Motion platform and the Palm Treo.

Apresta bills itself as an “innovator” specializing in mobilizing business processes, creating advanced mobile solutions. Apresta’s end-to-end solution provides access to enterprise systems including ERP, CRM, SCM, financial systems, and legacy, from handheld devices. Apresta is a division of international enterprise CRM software supplier Saratoga Systems.
