RightNow Appoints Seasoned Executives to Drive Continued Growth Across Europe, Middle East and Africa
Former Omniture Executive, Ian Tickle, to Direct Region
BOZEMAN, Mont. (June 01, 2011) – RightNow (NASDAQ:RNOW) today announced that former Omniture executive Ian Tickle has been appointed Vice President of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). As head of EMEA, Ian will be responsible for driving RightNow’s continued growth and success in the region, which boasts nearly 180 employees and leading brands including BT, KLM, Office Depot, Tesco, Nikon, Motorola and Marktplaats. In addition, RightNow has appointed Marcel Karssen Vice President of EMEA Customer Experience and Operations.

Ian Tickle, Vice President of EMEA
An experienced executive with more than 23 years in the software and technology sector, Ian brings deep expertise in building successful direct and indirect sales organizations. Ian is responsible for RightNow’s EMEA organization, including sales, marketing, operations and services. Ian reports directly to Marcus Bragg, Senior Vice President of Global Sales.

Most recently, Ian was the EMEA Sales Director of the Omniture Business Unit at Adobe Systems, providing online business optimization software that enables companies to manage and enhance online, offline and multi-channel business initiatives. Ian joined Omniture in 2007 and, prior to the Adobe acquisition, was Omniture’s General Manager of the UK, Ireland and South Africa, where he grew the sales team and was central to the company’s success in the region. Ian’s drive, entrepreneurial spirit and European business know-how have powered him to successfully grow start-up companies including Tumbleweed, Tripwire and WebTrends to become Europe-wide enterprises. Ian lives in Berkshire, England, with his wife and two daughters.

Marcel Karssen, Vice President of EMEA Customer Experience and Operations
Marcel brings more than 30 years of professional experience to RightNow, 25 years of which are in the software and technology industry. Marcel joined RightNow with the company’s acquisition of Q-Go, where he was the Chief Financial Officer. His experience with building successful EMEA business operations will help drive RightNow’s continued success in the EMEA region. Marcel reports directly to Ian Tickle.

Prior to his position as CFO at Q-go, Marcel Karssen was the VP of Business Operations EMEA Customer Service at Oracle. Marcel has also served as CFO at several other venture-backed software companies including Prolin, Amyyon and Redwood. Earlier in his career, Marcel was in several finance roles at Oracle, where he contributed to the company’s early success as it grew from 400 to 30,000 employees. Marcel lives in Laren, The Netherlands, with his wife, daughter and son.
