Optaros Announces Global Internal Deployment of SugarCRM

Commercial Open Source CRM implementation enhances revenue and forecasting modules

BOSTON (November 18, 2008) –

Optaros Inc., assemblers of Next Generation Internet (NGI) applications, completed an in-house implementation of SugarCRM, a leading commercial open source CRM (Customer Relationship Management) solution. The deployment includes enhancements to Optaros’ revenue module and the creation of a substantial forecasting module. SugarCRM consultant and Gold Partner Optaros integrated the SugarCRM internally with Drupal, the company’s Web content management system. With SugarCRM, Optaros will enjoy data automation capabilities, through which every request for information is captured. Leads are then automatically assigned to the appropriate sales person.

“The SugarCRM solution will save time and cut our chances for lost leads to nearly zero,” says Marc Osofsky, vice president of marketing for Optaros. “SugarCRM has given us the flexibility and functionality we need to run our business, but without the huge expense that ordinary, non-open source CRM solutions generally involve.”

In addition to the company’s internal deployment, Optaros has acted as SugarCRM consultant for several companies throughout the United States and Europe, providing implementations such as a customized merchant tool and streamlined call center for European retailer Wonderbox, as well as a customized workflow management system for the State of Vaud in Switzerland.

“Implementing SugarCRM into our own Website has provided us with a unique perspective,” says Thomas Lundqvist, CRM/self-service practice lead at Optaros. “As a SugarCRM consultant and Gold Partner, it’s always been easy to talk about what putting the open source CRM in place can do for our clients. Now that we’ve been through it ourselves, we have a deeper understanding of all that is involved and what is possible.”

“Optaros is an expert at understanding and translating the value of open technologies into practical solutions,” says Jeff Campbell, vice president of channel sales, at SugarCRM. “As they have with enterprises across the globe, Optaros has assembled an innovative, on-time solution based on SugarCRM and open source components for their own company.”
