Amdocs Ranks Number One Vendor in Worldwide OSS and Billing Revenues, Leading Analyst Firm Reports

According to report, service providers are looking to partner with vendors that lead in both OSS and billing, and can also offer comprehensive professional services

ST. LOUIS, April 7, 2011 — Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, today announced that it has been ranked the number one vendor in revenues for global sales of OSS (operational support systems), billing systems and related services in IDC’s “Worldwide OSS and Billing 2010–2015 Forecast and 2009 Vendor Shares” report(1).

IDC based its ranking on vendor revenues for sales segments that included billing, fulfillment, service assurance and revenue assurance software licenses and related consulting, integration and managed services. IDC ranks Amdocs as the lead in this combined market space with 10.9 percent market share.

“OSS and billing systems are at the heart of communications service provider operations,” said Elisabeth Rainge, vice president of research, Telecom Operations at IDC. “Service providers recognize that their ability to improve time-to-market, enhance consumer experiences and monetize their assets relies on support from their OSS and billing systems. Vendors that offer deep industry process expertise and a wide set of professional services, in addition to software systems, have the potential to develop tighter relationships with their customers.”

“Amdocs has a unique business model that combines industry-leading products and services with operational excellence. We are known for our end-to-end business solutions that include open architected products, business process and managed services best practices,” said Rebecca Prudhomme, vice president of product and solutions marketing at Amdocs. “This combination enables us to successfully deliver on the industry’s most complex transformation projects, with less risk and better business results.”
