Lewis Silkin LLP selects InterAction by LexisNexis

LexisNexis Interface Software representatives announced that London, U.K.-based law firm Lewis Silkin LLP has selected InterAction to be the firm’s CRM solution. The staff of 250 at Lewis Silkin will have InterAction integrated with Microsoft Outlook, Axxia’s Arista practice management system, Hummingbird’s DM5 document management system and other Microsoft Office applications.

To date, Lewis Silkin LLP had used a contact management solution, suffering the typical problems with having relationship management and new business development programs spread over myriad software applications and methods. With InterAction, Lewis Silkin seeks to consolidate client communications, client records, matter information, the new business pipeline, and marketing databases. Lewis Silkin LLP head of business development and marketing Mark King was the primary quoted source in press material. He expressed problems similar to those other firms experience before making the big leap to CRM: “…as we grow it becomes more challenging to stay coordinated and provide the high level of service our clients are accustomed to receiving,” he said.

“The need for a comprehensive CRM solution became clear over time as growing pains emerged.” It was a “nightmare,” described King, the nightmare being “to drown in inefficiency or bad data, with any business development effort – strategic or tactical – becoming extremely tedious.” Specific troubles for Lewis Silkin regarded unacceptable frequency of conflicting or out-of-date data. InterAction seeks to allow Lewis Silkin LLP to scale business development efforts while contributing to more strategic and measurable outcomes and processes.

Organic growth initiatives around cross-selling the firm’s intrapractice skills are planned. Activities, such as closely targeted and tracked prospect mailings, are expected to increase in frequency and efficacy. InterAction is billed as a “CRM platform [that will] deliver firm-wide relationship intelligence quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively.” LexisNexis is a leading information and services solutions provider.
