Pharmaceutical business intelligence firm Cutting Edge Information has released its report on industry CRM. Numbers in the no-nonsense entitled work “Pharmaceutical Customer Relationship Management” show that the average development time of the thirteen profiled CRM programs is 16.2 months.

Among key findings were results indicating that the level at which a program runs – here, brand-level or therapeutic-level – also influences the development time of that particular program. Brand-level and therapeutic-level CRM programs’ average development times are close at 16.4 months and 15.75 months, respectively, but a greater percentage of the brand-level programs’ development time exceeds the average.
