Click SMART

Workforce and service optimization solutions provider ClickSoftware Technologies Ltd. (that’s not a bad name) and Syclo, a developer of mobile software solutions, today announced the successful deployment of their joint workforce management solution at a major (unnamed) water district in the United States.

The solution is called “SMART Schedule” and was jointly developed by the two companies. The product promises to allow clients the ability to optimize “all types of field work, via a pre-integrated/pre-configured solution. The solution offers a low-cost, easy to use scheduling and optimization solution that can be deployed in a matter of weeks.” A bit more specifically, SMART Schedule is a tool for scheduling and dispatching service or work orders and can be integrated into enterprise applications including CRM, asset management, billing and human resources.

Reports press material: “The utility, which took back control of the day-to-day operations [as] a city / county government agency, needed to be able to get more out of their current workforce, which consists of 125 technicians and seven different work streams.”

With the announcement, the firms also recounted that SMART Schedule has also been deployed at “a large property management company in the Northeast, a key European utility customer, and a prominent university in the Northeast.”

Last week Syclo announced its inclusion in Gartner, Inc.’s “Challengers” quadrant in the advisory firm’s most recent “Magic Quadrant for Multichannel Access Gateways.” Sixteen multi-channel access gateways were considered by Gartner as entrants.

To be named to a Gartner Magic Quadrant, a given firm must pass a set of evaluation criteria, including ability to execute, overall viability, sales execution/pricing; market responsiveness and track record, marketing execution, customer experience, operations, completeness of vision, market understanding and strategy, sales strategy, offering, or product, strategy, business model, vertical/industry strategy, innovation, and geographic strategy.

ClickSoftware’s flagship product is its ServiceOptimization Suite, a complete CRM solution that includes reliable customer demand and workload forecasting, strategic and tactical capacity planning, optimized shift planning, daily service scheduling, troubleshooting and repair support, wireless workforce management, location based services and business analytics, connecting all organizational levels and functions. Click is headquartered in Burlington, Mass. and Israel, with offices in Europe, and Asia Pacific.
